Sir Don Bradman holds the record for the highest batting average in Test cricket, with 99.94. He played for Australia in 52 Tests (6,996 runs in 80 innings) from 1928-1948. He was Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1931, knighted in 1949, and appointed Commander of the Order of Australia in 1978. Australia won 11 tests during his time as captain and he played his last Test in 1948 at the Oval, London, England.
