Sachin Tendulkar (India) has scored a record 29 centuries, having played 273 matches, 1989–2001. Tendulkar, known as "The Little Champion", was just 16 when he began playing for India against Pakistan in a test match at Karachi. At the age of 19 he became the first overseas player in 130 years to play for England's Yorkshire county team. Ex-Yorkshire player Geoffrey Boycott is a fan of Tendulkar, "We'd have him back tomorrow if we could!" he said.
